menu

a set of options to choose from, often presented as a text list, but also sometimes as a set of pictures, audio menus (for instance, in a voice-answering system), or a set of animations or video.

Pulldown and dropdown menus are the common ones to see on computer desktops (WIMP interfaces), where they typically appear in menubars. They are primarily used to issue commands and set options.

Menu-driven interfaces are screens with lists of options to guide the user to other screens. These types of menus are simply lists for navigation and are not typically used to issue commands.
