Job description
Cimex is an award-winning digital agency with a proven track record of developing successful interactive solutions across a range of digital platforms. We are looking for a full time User Experience Consultant to join our growing team and help us further develop the user experience practice.
Requirements
- Focusing on the users needs, making practical recommendations for improving usability.
- Conducting and documenting requirements gathering including personas, user journeys, task analysis, stakeholder workshops, and competitor analysis.
- Conducting user research such as usability testing, focus groups, expert reviews and surveys.
- Analyzing both qualitative and quantitative user testing data.
- Developing wireframes, sitemaps and Information Architecture documentation.
- Documenting interface specifications for developers (e.g., how functionality will work, how data will be displayed).
- Identifying the best user-centered methods and processes to use for each project or develop new ones to suit the clients' specific interaction requirements.
- Work collaboratively with other internal and external teams.
- Developing and delivering presentations confidently to clients and peers.
- In-depth knowledge of accessibility guidelines such as WAI Guidelines and W3C technologies.
- Familiarity with assistive technologies, disability communities, and accessibility research community.
Ideally you will have:
- A good degree or a postgraduate qualification in Human Computer Interaction or related discipline.
- Relevant experience (a minimum of 3 years).
- Ability to articulate solutions and sell stakeholders on user friendly design recommendations.
- Excellent analytic and problem solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, communicating clearly and with confidence while considering different viewpoints.
- Self motivated and enthusiastic.
- Passion for usability/accessibility and the wider user experience.
- A keen interest and good awareness of current / future developments in website trends and innovations.
- Good knowledge of user interface design principles, information design, and web design.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
