Description
Leading wireless entertainment provider in the SoHo area of NYC is seeking an Information Architect to join a growing group of user experience professionals with the initiative to transform the firm's web and mobile consumer experiences. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in navigation design, interaction design, and principles of designing for e-commerce systems.
Duties will include:
- Create world class web and mobile commerce experiences.
- Work with product development, technology, and marketing teams to define strategy, help gather requirements and shape feature sets.
- Represent the user, either through developing user personas or usability testing.
- Develop deliverables with heuristic and competitive evaluations, personas, sitemaps, wireframes, and functional specification documents.
- Study site analytics data to inform designs and requirements.
- Contribute to the product development team with new ideas and creative approaches.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of applied experience in designing usable web interfaces.
- 2+ years of applied information architecture experience.
- BA/MA in information architecture, human-computer interaction, information design, technical writing, or user-experience-related field.
- Strong understanding of user research, usability, and web standards.
