Mid-Senior Level UX/UI Interaction Designer

Job description

As part of an agile product team, you will be creating the user experience of our next generation service and delivering wireframes, mockups, flow diagrams as well as final design.

  • Own revamp of end-to-end site interaction design and user experience
  • Work effectively with engineering and QA to ensure the interaction and visual designs are fully executed in development
  • Provide design direction and creative leadership to deliver features that continuously delight customers
  • Be a key catalyst in driving a culture of innovation and teamwork centered around the needs of our customers

Skills/requirements:

We are seeking a talented creative engineer to work with a small team to design and develop features and functionality and play a very active role in the architecture of our platform.

  • Passion for world-class usability and engaging design
  • Ability to engage in a creative, collaborative design process with a small, cross functional team
  • Experience in designing intuitive web 2.0 based applications (SaaS) and ability to show relevant work.
  • Experience with new user paradigms on the Web including feeds, widgets, and social network applications
  • Comfortable working in an iterative, agile environment that incorporates
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Motivated self-starter, with a high capacity for rapid learning. Ability to independently own complex problems and deliver great solutions.
  • At least 3-5 years of design/product experience with consumer Internet and/or social media products

Skills required:

  • Information Design (Sketches, flow diagrams, wireframes)
  • Visual Design & Web graphics production w/ Photoshop, Fireworks, or equivalent
  • User Experience (usability testing, usage analysis, metrics, data-driven design)
  • Solid cross-browser CSS and HTML
  • This position is part-time, on the order of 20 hours / week time frame for the next 3-4 months on site in our office in Palo Alto
