Senior User Experience Designer

Position summary
A fast growing financial and trading company is looking for a talented User Experience Designer to work on their next generation derivatives trading platform. This is a very exciting and challenging role where the appointed candidate will be able to make a significant contribution to the future success of this company.
Description
You will be based within the product management team where you will be responsible for designing the UI architecture, interaction flow and aesthetics for cutting edge web-based trading applications. This company follows Agile principles, so previous experience of working within an ‘Agile environment’ is required.
Key responsibilities:
- Create and rationalize user-centered designs by considering market analysis, customer feedback and usability findings
- Design and conduct usability testing
- Utilize business requirements and market research to assist in developing use cases
- Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups and prototypes
- Present design work to executives and other departments for feedback and review
- Work collaboratively, alongside the development and design teams, offering and sharing your knowledge of user-centered design and research methodologies
Additional information
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in designing financial trading applications and have samples of work demonstrating this. Fluency in delivering best practices when working on web-based information architecture and design is required, as well as having a strong understanding of usability principles and techniques.
