Research Associate
Reports to: Senior Research Consultant

Position summary
Experienced qualitative researcher (2+ years) responsible for moderating, reporting and project management. Work will be focused on user experience and product development research. Working as part of a team with a senior researcher, you will be involved in all stages, from initial planning and execution through analysis and presentation.

Description
We are currently only considering those with 2+ years professional experience moderating qualitative research across a range of topics and categories. Interview process may include moderating a demo usability interview and submitting qualitative research writing samples.

Qualifications and requirements
Requirements:
- Qualitative research experience with 2+ years conducting in-depth usability interviews and/or ethnographies
- Smart, high-energy researcher who thrives on team work
- Passion for great interactive design and a dedication to improving websites, mobile applications, kiosks, and consumer products
- Experience exploring websites, applications, and products with consumers – and uncovering insights that drive further product development and design
- Ability to develop insights and build recommendations across every touch point (messaging, product development, distribution, interaction design, features, etc.) that enhances and differentiates a product, communication or brand
- Great story telling and writing skills. You must be an excellent writer and powerful storyteller who sees the “through-line” and knows which insights drive the story
- Proven ability to build and nurture client relationships
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excels in a highly collaborative environment where the outcome, rather than any one individual, is the star
- Some client side experience preferred
- Digital experience preferred
- Domestic travel required
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on recruitment screeners and discussion guides
- Moderate in-depth usability interviews
- Analyze results and develop insights and recommendations in collaboration with a senior researcher
- Contribute to final reports and presentations for clients
